The Marburg Open-Air Cinema Summer brings great cinema to the Castle Park stage once again this year. Visitors can expect a diverse selection of current films, classics, and special cinematic highlights on a roughly 200 m² large screen under the open sky. The film is a cult classic, the story of one of the most mismatched film pairs is world-famous. Harold and Maude defy everything one has ever seen or known about film couples. Bud Cort is Harold, a young, overprivileged man with a morbid fascination for death. Ruth Gordon is Maude, a wonderful old eccentric who finds something positive in everything in life and enjoys it to the fullest. Hal Ashby (Coming Home, Being There) directed based on Colin Higgins' (Foul Play) first screenplay. Cat Stevens composed the music for this charming film full of dark comedy, which proves that love knows no boundaries. An absolute classic!
