The Last Cut - Reading in the Dissection Room
Authors: Jo Adler, Elke Pistor
What has been on the dissection table at the hospital in Schleiden over the decades? Were crimes solved here? And what came to light? – Take a look behind the scenes of the nearly 60-year-old building and enter a place that once served more for the final than the literary investigation.
And right at the hospital in Schleiden, a retired criminal commissioner lays himself under the knife – and uncovers in Jo Adler's short crime story "His Last Case" from "Nordeifel Mordeifel 3" traces of his last, unsolved murder case. In Adler's latest crime novel, which takes a detour into the Eifel, it holds true: "Nothing is forgotten." But that's not all: the genuine dialect speaker Elke Pistor shares insights from her life as an author – and embarks on the trail of a button with astonishing significance in "The Prototype."
