Takt & Töne: Rainer Pusch, Hendrik Wohlers, Mario Fadani & Philipp Köhler - Holiday Jazz

When a jazz legend joins forces with three outstanding musicians from the region, the result is more than just a concert—it’s an unforgettable encounter. Rainer Pusch, a saxophonist who has helped shape the German jazz scene for decades and has gained recognition far beyond the country’s borders with his unmistakable musical style, is making a guest appearance in Eberbach. A Berklee graduate, he has shared the stage with international greats such as Art Farmer, Horace Parlan, and Albert Mangelsdorff, and is regarded as a pioneer who blends jazz with influences from India and other musical cultures to create a sound all his own. Joining Rainer Pusch this evening are Philipp Köhler and Mario Fadani, two distinguished jazz musicians who not only perform on concert stages throughout the region—and, in Fadani’s case, also host a concert series at the Jazzhaus Heidelberg —but have also shaped musical education at the Eberbach Music School as instructors for many years. Rounding out the quartet is the multi-award-winning young pianist and music school graduate Hendrik Wohlers, who is already considered one of the most promising voices of his generation. Together, this extraordinary quartet combines international experience, regional influence, and the next generation of musicians to create a concert full of joy, virtuosity, and inspiring encounters.
