Badische Landesbühne - "Die Kirche bleibt im Dorf" - Premiere at the Buchenauerhof

A comedy based on the screenplay for the feature film of the same name by Ulrike Grote The residents of Unterrieslingen and Oberrieslingen share a cemetery and a church. There’s been a long-standing dispute over this. The ongoing feud is evident between the Häberle family (from Oberrieslingen) and the Rossbauer family (from Unterrieslingen). Then Grandma Häberle has an accident due to a pothole at the town boundary. An American wants to buy the church. And among the young people in the villages, there are forbidden love affairs. This sparks new conflict. A storm is brewing. Is a happy ending still possible for Klara Häberle and Peter Rossbauer? In her successful 2012 comedy film, Ulrike Grote affectionately pokes fun at the love-hate relationship within a community bound by fate. At the Badische Landesbühne, this is transformed into top-notch folk theater in the Baden dialect—with a touch of irony.  In case of bad weather, the event will take place in the Dr.-Sieber-Halle.
