The Marburg Open-Air Cinema Summer brings great cinema to the castle park stage once again this year. Visitors can expect a varied selection of current films, classics, and special cinema highlights on a screen approximately 200 m² in size under the open sky. The unique atmosphere makes every movie night a special summer experience. The current program and tickets are available online.
Today, "2001: A Space Odyssey" will be shown.
Stanley Kubrick's science fiction classic from 1968 is now being presented in a restored version. Scientists discover a black monolith on the moon that emits signals towards Jupiter. Subsequently, a group of astronauts is assembled to explore the cause. In this task, the supercomputer HAL 9000 takes command, which becomes a disaster for the astronauts. (VA)
