When you step over the threshold into the low-ceilinged living room of the Resenhof, you’re taking a step back into a bygone era. This Upper Black Forest single-roofed farmstead is over 200 years old; it was built in 1789 and has been preserved in its original condition. It was home to the farmer and cooper Hans Rese until 1976; since 1977, it has served as the Black Forest Holzschnefler Museum. Nowhere else in the Black Forest will you find the topic of “working with wood” presented so vividly in original workshops.
