Kinderfalkner werden in der Falknerei "Birds of Prey"

Since 2021, the Iwersen family has fulfilled their dream of having their own falconry at their home in Speyer. Currently, the falconry is home to over 30 birds of prey. This includes, among others, the goshawk, the Harris's hawk, the tawny owl, the barn owl, and the white-tailed eagle, among others.

Courtney and Thorsten Iwersen and their team actively practice falconry with birds of prey, promote bird of prey conservation, breed birds, and also engage in public relations. The "Birds of Prey" team regularly visits kindergartens and schools to inspire young children about birds of prey. Additionally, they are mobile with the animals at various events.

During the summer holidays, the falconry now offers children aged 8 to 14 an opportunity to try their hand at falconry. In the end, each child receives a certificate. Snacks and drinks are provided. Registration is available through the website.
