Guided Tour by Female Artists

As part of the “Wednesday Tours,” artist Anne Carnein leads visitors through the current exhibition at the New Palace and pays tribute, in a retrospective, to her close bond with her late artist friend Dorothea Schrade. In the spacious rooms of the New Palace, the works of two friends—artists and fellow artists—come together. For many years, they not only worked in close proximity but also engaged in daily exchanges about art, life, and the nature that surrounded and inspired them. The painter DOROTHEA SCHRADE, who passed away last year, leaves behind a rich body of work full of poetic power. Flowers, landscapes, and cows are among her recurring motifs—but in this exhibition, the focus is primarily on her flower paintings. The selection is complemented by special loans: favorite works from the collections of friends, which offer a very personal glimpse into her creative process. The artist ANNE CARNEIN adds a distinctive touch with her finely crafted plant and mushroom objects. For the exhibition *Blumenjahr*, she focuses on plants—both flowering and non-flowering—and translates organic forms into serene, evocative objects. *BLUMENJAHR* is a tribute to nature—and to a long-standing artistic friendship.
