Music: Anna Gehlhaar The warm, deep colors invite you to dream … Each tile is unique. Moments that cannot be repeated. “I think of flowers, but not always,” says ceramic artist Eva von Ruckteschell. The tile compositions continue to evolve day by day: “I stop—and then continue—pause—start again—a different mood, color, or pattern carries me forward.” The images seem to float, fleeting yet approachable. You’d like to look behind them, “to find a secret, something to sense”—that’s what the artist seeks. The background seems infinite. The fragmentary nature leaves room for one’s own thoughts and reflection; there is no clear-cut ending. Blood or flowers? What do I see? The ceramics are made from mixed clays; in the ceramic paintings, stamps, ornaments, and colors come together in multiple layers. “My tools can be anything that can be stamped or painted and doesn’t burn away…” Craftsmanship, deep emotions, intuition, and fairy-tale worlds all find their place on the tiles
