You’re invited to a **program of readings** entirely dedicated to the work of **Gertrude Reum**—an event honoring her 100th birthday that will take you on a journey through sound, thought, and the senses. Gertrude Reum’s sculptures and reliefs make an impact through their sheer intensity: cellulose, brass, and stainless steel enter into a dynamic interplay with one another. Here, your perception encounters a dedication to craftsmanship and profound inspiration, which are palpable in every material and every surface. The spoken-word ensemble of the **Akademie für gesprochenes Wort** follows the artist’s guiding themes—metal, gravity, movement, and relationship. The program features texts by J.W. von Goethe, Helmut Heißenbüttel, Timo Brunke, Virginia Woolf, Yoko Tawada, Monika Rinck, and many others—a mosaic of voices, styles, and perspectives that sets your mind in motion.
