Black Patti – Blues, Spirituals, Ragtime

**Presented by the Sipplingen Cultural Initiative:** **Black Patti**—that’s **Peter Crow C. and Ferdinand “Jelly Roll” Kraemer**. For over ten years, these two multi-award-winning blues and roots musicians have been performing together on international stages and at festivals. With impressive mastery of their instruments, two-part harmonies, and a genuine joy of playing, they create an authentic atmosphere that brings the origins of acoustic blues to life. Yet the duo doesn’t limit itself to interpreting historical material: Black Patti writes and arranges its own songs, which draw stylistically on early American blues while also bearing a musical signature all their own. It is precisely this blend of tradition and creativity that makes their concerts such a special experience. With their unmistakable blend of Delta blues, ragtime, gospel, and country blues, Black Patti captivates audiences far beyond the German blues scene and is regarded as one of Europe’s most prominent duos for traditional American roots music.
