At the same time, you’ll become less dependent on rising energy prices and make a tangible contribution to climate protection. Getting started is easier than many people think: The upfront costs are manageable, and installation is straightforward. In many cases, all you need to do is plug the device into an outlet. The energy generated typically covers part of your household’s baseline consumption—such as for a refrigerator, router, or devices in standby mode.
