Musician and composer Kathrin Beddig presents “Oriental Dreams,” her first program entirely inspired by the Orient.
The program takes its inspiration from the Orient as a place of longing in the 18th and 19th centuries. Music with an Oriental theme was very well received—even if it featured only classical structures. It was not until the 20th century that a cultural crossover gradually became possible.
Kathrin Beddig performs captivating compositions in a classical style with an Oriental flair on her flutes. She is accompanied by Oriental drums and piano from a background playback track. “Oriental Dreams”—this program moves, inspires, and invites you to dream.
