Boules Gathering on the City Wall

Summer, with its Mediterranean temperatures, is drawing more and more boules enthusiasts in Wolfach to the court. Fans of this traditionally French pastime in Wolfach have already been eagerly enjoying the season on what is “arguably the most beautiful boules court north of the Alps.” The sport of boules is also enjoying ever-growing popularity in the Kinzig Valley. With its simple set of rules and the ability to include people of all ages and fitness levels, boules promotes not only physical activity but also social interaction and a sense of community. It’s the ideal leisure activity for everyone to get together in a relaxed atmosphere, play together, and chat. People of all ages who are interested are always welcome to try out this wonderful pastime and stop by the court on Fridays—and now also on Tuesdays. The club’s regular players are happy to help introduce beginners to the basics of the game and play exciting matches together. If you don’t have your own boules, you can borrow them for free at the Tourist Information Office in City Hall and at the mini-golf course.
