Perspective Heidengraben – Photography Courses

"Perspective Heidengraben" Photography Course—Get Out of Auto Mode! The course is designed for anyone interested in photography and combines creative hands-on practice, group excursions, and a final exhibition of the resulting works. With its new series **“Perspective Heidengraben”**, the Heidengraben Center invites you to rediscover photography at one of Europe’s most significant Celtic sites. In collaboration with photographer Thomas Blank, photography courses are being developed that focus on landscape, architecture, history, and people—while continually opening up new perspectives. But the focus is also very specifically on the technical aspects of photography. Under the slogan “Get out of auto mode,” elements such as shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and the proper framing of the background are explored. When should the background be in focus or out of focus? How can this be used to achieve a strong visual impact? How does a place change through one’s own perspective? How does one discover a photographic eye? In individual seminars, participants explore the area around the Heidengraben as well as the architecturally outstanding center itself, developing their own photographic style in the process. From cars to children’s portraits—anything is possible and can be individually discussed with participants upon request: Children. Animals. Landscape. Architecture. Nature. Wildlife. Movement… there are no limits to the subject matter. To wrap things up, the bistro invites everyone to an “aftershoot”—a space for discussion, reviewing photos, and generating new ideas. A special feature of the series is the visibility of the results: Selected photographs will be exhibited at the Heidengraben Center and shared on social media.
