Laakirchner Martinimarkt

Versatile handicrafts will be showcased on November 14 and 15, 2026, in the autumnally decorated halls of the old paper factory at the ALFA cultural and event center in Laakirchen - Steyrermühl. The region's unique Martiniritt along the idyllic banks of the Traun, traditional music, autumnal culinary delights, and a creative children's program make the market an experience for the whole family.

This year, the lively life of Saint Martin will not only be portrayed on land and horseback, but the Traun River will also play a part in the story. Children are invited to welcome Martin with their lanterns, which they have crafted or brought from home.

Culinary delights indoors and outdoors
Various regional businesses will offer a diverse range of culinary treats, from autumnal chestnut foam soup to hearty goose burgers. Traditional farmer's doughnuts from the Goldhaube group, mulled cider, and raclette and bacon sandwiches from the Laakirchen farmers will of course be part of the offerings.

Creative children's program
Children can make their own lanterns, either to take home or to be part of the atmospheric Martiniritt. They can also get creative with paper-making, printing, and crafting, or have fun at the goose barn.
