On October 26, not only is the National Holiday celebrated, but it is also the perfect time for a hike through the autumn landscape of Austria. For this reason, the Austrian national parks have declared this day as National Park Hiking Day.

This year's hike will lead from the National Park House to Hardegg, the smallest town in the country. From there, we will continue up to the Max Plateau, where a spectacular view of Hardegg awaits. In the midst of a narrow valley basin, the impressive castle complex stands, and the old houses tell of Hardegg's significant history. Join us for a tour through the colorful autumn forest of the national park and the picturesque little town. At the refreshment station on the Max Plateau, drinks and light snacks will be offered for your enjoyment.
