PRO BEACH BATTLE presented by DeLonghi 2022

A first-class organization and the picturesque backdrop of Lake Attersee attract national and international beach volleyball stars year after year. In 2024, Austria's Olympic participants Julian Hörl and Alex Horst faced off against Italian world stars: Daniele Lupo – a three-time European champion and Olympic silver medalist – and Ivan Zaytsev – a two-time Olympic medalist in indoor volleyball – delivering an exciting duel for Hörl/Horst. Men's teams from overseas (Canada and Argentina) also participated.

Barbora Hermannova from the Czech Republic – a two-time European Championship medalist with Olympic experience – and her Slovenian partner Tjasa Kotnik impressed with top performances. Women's duos from Switzerland, France, and even Australia added a lot of international flair. The youngsters in the win2day Beach Team Austria thrilled fans on the packed Centre Court: Timo Hammarberg and Tim Berger sensationally claimed the tournament victory. The state champions Lilli Hohenauer and Lia Berger only lost to Hermannova/Kotnik in the final.
