TOURDATA
Schlossplatz 1, 2361 Laxenburg
In the autumn of 2026, part of the Laxenburg Castle Park will transform into a colorful medieval fair. As a special highlight, we will present an impressive knight tournament on horseback. Brave knights will compete, joust, and showcase daring stunts. A full-day entertainment program, medieval culinary experiences, live music, and a medieval market will be essential. Both young and old can experience the thrilling knight battles up close, enjoy the antics of the jesters, and dance to the medieval live music. Culinary delights such as knight pans, grill specialties, and the squire's favorite sweet treat, baked mice, can be found in the food area. To quench your thirst, you can hop into the tavern for a refreshing cherry beer, a mug of mead, or fresh elderflower juice, and you might even meet one, two, or three knights refreshing themselves after their battles. The coffee and cake tent offers a place to relax. For our young visitors, we also provide a knight course, and once they complete it, they can be knighted. While strolling through the medieval market, our guests can find all sorts of interesting goods that are indispensable to the medieval era. Browse through market stalls offering jewelry, swords, bows and arrows, wooden toys, children's swords, riding bows, furs, and flower crowns. Living history groups, which recreate medieval life from various eras and regions, invite visitors to come and explore. You can also try your hand at axe throwing and/or spear throwing, and watch the diligent ladies at various crafts.
