Brass Music at the Woodcutter Museum
Like every year, the Bürgermusik of Bad Goisern holds its evening concert in the wonderful setting of the Woodcutter Museum area. Refreshments will be provided.
The Bürgermusik Band
The band was founded in 1834 with the purpose of "giving the celebrations in the village a fitting framework."
The first performance took place during the Corpus Christi festival in 1834. Therefore, Bürgermusik is the oldest brass band in the Salzkammergut region. The brown uniform with felt hat and ostrich feather is derived from the Spanish court ceremonial.
The Bürgermusik consists of a total of 50 members and performs on religious occasions (Easter Sunday, Corpus Christi) as well as for secular events (morning concerts, honors).
