Traunkirchen Christmas Market
Traunkirchen cordially invites you to the new Christmas market by and for Traunkirchen residents!
On 13 and 14 December, the town will be transformed into an atmospheric Christmas landscape with regional delicacies, musical highlights and a festive atmosphere.

Culinary delights & music
The local associations spoil visitors with traditional delicacies and warming drinks. Musical highlights are provided by the small section of the local Traunkirchen music band and the MUJU band, who frame the market with festive sounds.
As in 2024, the popular Werkstattmusi will also be back to create a festive atmosphere.
Picture book cinema as part of the Traunkirchen Advent market
The picture book cinema, which takes place on both days of the market, offers a special experience for children.

Nativity scene exhibition at the old railway station in Traunkirchen
On the 3rd weekend of Advent and just in time for the Christmas market, the first major project of the "Kunstschiene Traunkirchen" will be launched.
The exhibition "Cribs from near and far" opens in the old waiting room of the railway station - a special experience for cot fans young and old.
In addition to traditional Vichtau and box cots from the region and from private collections, special rarities such as a matchbox cot or an icon cot are also on display.
Many thanks to all private collectors for their trust and loans.
The large display window at the railway station will be festively illuminated and decorated with nativity scenes until Candlemas.
Opening hours of the nativity scene exhibition:
13/14 Dec. and 20/21 Dec. 2-6 p.m. each day
Visits are also possible by telephone appointment until 1 February 2026.
