Wolfgangseer Advent

The Wolfgangsee Advent offers a mix of local delicacies, homemade punch specialties, and lovingly selected gift ideas. Since the opening of the Wolfgangsee Advent, the impressively creative decorations have particularly attracted attention. Giant Christmas trees, lanterns, comets, stars, candles, and Swedish fire pits in the three towns delight visitors.

This year again in the Advent program: The Schafberg Railway, which invites you to a nostalgic ride to the Schafberg Alm.

Traveling Advent Calendar
During the Wolfgangsee Advent, 12 red and 12 yellow gondolas of the Zwölferhorn cable car transform into a traveling Advent calendar, which surprises visitors daily. In just 11 minutes of travel time, you reach the summit, where hearty culinary delights and punch can be enjoyed while taking in the mountain and lake panorama. A special light installation serves as a wonderful photo point. Starting from the mountain station, the Pillstein circular hiking trail takes you through the enchanting winter landscape at Hörndl.

The landmark of the Wolfgangsee Advent, the floating Advent lantern, stands at 16 meters high, making it the tallest structure on Wolfgangsee. A total of 0.5 kilometers of light strips (LED) are installed on the lantern.

The nativity scene exhibition at the Salettl by the Gasthof zur Post is open during the opening hours of the Advent market in St. Gilgen.
