Ybbsitzer Messermarkt

The Ybbsitz Knife Market has established itself over the past 10 years as a recognized trade fair for knife enthusiasts, attracting knife collectors, interested parties, hunters, and even chefs. It is a tribute to an ancient craft that increasingly draws knife lovers to the blacksmith community of Ybbsitz every September at the FeRRUM House.

Handcrafted knives – whether for the kitchen, hunting and adventure, or for the workshop – are unique pieces, even if they are produced in series. Visitors benefit from first-class advice and have the opportunity to engage in discussions with experts. The evaluation of the knives offered and displayed is conducted annually by a panel of judges. Under the title "Best Knife of Show," awards are given in "Category I – Best Folding Knife," "Category II – Best Fixed Blade Knife," and "Category III – Special Prize for Forged Blade."
