The museum is a vibrant place of remembrance and active engagement with a dark chapter of Austrian contemporary history. The focus is on the forced laborers of the Hermann Göring Works in Linz - their fates and life stories. The Hermann Göring Works have significantly shaped the city of Linz both architecturally and economically. They have profoundly altered the social fabric of the city. The traces left in the public space are still evident today. However, the impact on the victims of the past, the coercive nature, and the extent of the labor deployment have long been suppressed and are virtually absent from the collective consciousness. Changing this is a central concern of this museum.
