Natural and cultural historical exhibits such as prehistoric shark teeth, Stone Age burial finds, and artifacts from more recent periods are part of this comprehensive archaeological documentation. They paint an exciting picture of past times, leading to the first mention of Leonding in the early Middle Ages and eventually from a village to a town with more than 30,000 inhabitants. The highlight of the permanent exhibition is the approximately 6,300-year-old "Leondine." The girl from the Stone Age is among the oldest known Austrians today. Another special feature of the museum is the representation of the Maximilian Tower Line. "Apollonia," as Tower 9 is affectionately called, is one of a total of 32 towers that were once built as a fortification around Linz.
