Habjan's solo performance of the life story of Friedrich Zawrel, who was tortured by the "expert" institutional doctor in Nazi Austria and later encountered him again in the late republic, only to be locked away once more, is a brilliant puppet show for a narrative that perhaps no other genre could convey so coherently. With carefully dosed film inserts and a linguistically as well as playfully adept handling of the angular ventriloquist characters, it has become a grand documentary and emotional theater in mutual intertwining, which was awarded the Nestroy Prize.
