The anniversary tour in 2027 will shine with new facets of an unforgettable career, as well as additional hits, rarely played musical gems, and new, moving and humorous stories and anecdotes from the personal records of the unforgettable star. "THE UDO JÜRGENS STORY" takes the audience on an emotional journey through the life and work of one of Europe's greatest entertainers. Around 350,000 spectators have already experienced this tribute and celebrated it with standing ovations. Thus, "THE UDO JÜRGENS STORY" is the most successful and frequently performed tribute show about the music legend. In 2027, guest performances in Germany and Austria will again be on the schedule – including numerous cities where the show will take place for the first time. The brilliant duo Benesch and Pecoraro, under the direction of Erich Furrer, will ensure an evening full of memories and surprises, making the hearts of every Udo Jürgens fan soar. For the anniversary edition, a top-class artist has been secured in Mario Pecoraro. He has already shared the stage with musical greats such as the SEER and Rainhard Fendrich for many years. The internationally active pianist, singer, songwriter, and composer is able to transport a new and unheard dimension of passion, joy, and poetry into Udo Jürgens' unforgettable hits with his uniquely soulful, warm, and electrifying voice. His interpretation is genuine, his singing authentic. His virtuosic playing at the piano is characterized by unmatched dynamics, power, and lightness. An artist who sings from his soul into the hearts of people. He does not attempt to imitate Udo Jürgens but rather to respectfully celebrate his work – just as Udo Jürgens wished: "I leave everything to you!"

A special dramatic highlight is the narrative accompaniment by the award-winning film and theater actress Gabriela Benesch. With great sensitivity and fine humor, she brings Udo Jürgens’ personality to life, shares moving anecdotes, and provides insights into the life of the exceptional artist through personal records. With charming finesse and masterful skill, she sketches situations and characters so vividly that Udo Jürgens’ life – from youth to old age – passes by the audience as if they were part of his story. Naturally, a few "treats" and funny incidents that Gabriela Benesch experienced with Udo Jürgens himself are also included, as she met the great artist several times in very private settings.

The idea for the show "UDO JÜRGENS STORY" emerged in 2017 through close collaboration between Gabriela Benesch and her husband, the renowned director, actor, author, and producer Erich Furrer. Together, they developed a stage format that accompanies the audience from the beginnings of Udo Jürgens to his later artistic work, providing deep insights into his career, values, and musical vision.

Erich Furrer, born in Vienna and raised in Switzerland, studied at the University of Music and Theater in Bern. He has been internationally active for many years as an actor, director, comedian, author, and producer. In addition to numerous theater productions and award-winning acting work in Germany and abroad, he has celebrated great success with his own musical productions, award-winning comedy programs, and innovative adaptations of classic works, including those of William Shakespeare.
