For 35 years now, the original "Salzburg Advent" has been giving its loyal visitors a small piece of the Christmas of their childhood back. What began in 1991 as a small event with just under 400 visitors in the Salzburg Collegiate Church has developed into a cultural event of high musical and artistic quality. The original "Salzburg Advent®," with its more than one hundred participants, has redefined the face of Advent singing in Salzburg with its distinctive content, authenticity, and independence. More than 15,000 visitors annually from the city and the region of Salzburg, as well as from all over Austria and Germany, have made the Salzburg Advent the largest Advent singing in Salzburg after the Advent singing in the Festival Hall.
