Easter Market at the Horse Center Stadl-Paura

The Easter market at the Pferdezentrum Stadl-Paura will once again become a meeting point for families and horse enthusiasts in 2026. Over the Palm weekend of March 28 and 29, the historic facility will transform into a vibrant Easter world: featuring crafts, culinary delights, and a diverse program for children.

Easter Rally – an adventure for little explorers
At the Easter market, children will have a great time. The stations in the Easter Rally are a colorful mix and offer plenty of encounters with horses. Through pony rides, carriage driving, stable tours, or a meet & greet with the Shetland ponies Sissy and Franzi, children can get up close to the animals. In the petting zoo and while walking with alpacas, there are more four-legged friends to discover and get to know. The craft station, face painting, and puppet theater require creativity and attention. For action, there will be a bouncy castle, hobby horsing, and a blacksmith demonstration. Those who collect all the stamps in the rally pass can look forward to a special surprise – personally presented by the Easter Bunny.

“The shining eyes of the children show us every year why the Easter market is so special to us. I am looking forward to many families,” emphasizes ÖR Jakob Auer, chairman of the organizing association – “Association of Friends of the Pferdezentrum Stadl-Paura.”

Handmade: Art, enjoyment, and tradition
The centerpiece of the weekend is the Easter market with numerous exhibitors showcasing their crafts. The stalls offer a varied selection of materials, products, and lovingly crafted unique pieces – perfect for browsing and shopping. Local farmers from the Wels-Land district will ensure culinary delights with their delicious pastries and regional specialties.

Impressive works are created when the woodcarvers fire up their chainsaws. From massive tree trunks, the artists create impressive sculptures before the eyes of the visitors. The farrier will also provide exciting insights into his craft on-site and demonstrate the variety of shoe options for horses. The Easter market is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is 3 euros, and children up to 15 years have free entry.

More equestrian sports, more action
For those wanting even more horse action that weekend, they can cheer on the parallel tournaments taking place. An Icelandic horse tournament will be held in the large event hall, while outside, a mounted games tournament will provide speed, skill, and excitement. Action and entertainment are guaranteed.

On the Friday before the Easter market, March 27, hobby gardeners can collect free horse manure for the upcoming gardening season during the second “Manure Day.” The stored straw horse manure is a high-quality natural fertilizer for gardens, fruit trees, shrubs, and raised beds. With a variety of nutrients, it promotes plant growth and improves the soil naturally.
