Weberbartl Apple Hike

At the center of this cozy hike is the Weberbartl apple, a typical old fruit variety from the Streuobst region of the Nature Park Obst-Hügel-Land. Various local associations from Samarein participate in the hike alongside the nature park. The circular route, which is marked in both directions, takes you past numerous farms, cider taverns, the cider museum, the fruit educational garden in St. Marienkirchen, and various nature experience stations. Here, you can stop and enjoy regional specialties from the nature park, such as cider, fruit juices, or apple-based dishes. For lunch, you can expect warm delicacies or a cider snack. At the stations, there is an entertainment program for the whole family. You will gain insights into cider and juice production and learn interesting facts about old fruit varieties, herbs, as well as the animal and plant life in the nature park.
