We are making a solar boat.

In the solar crafting course for children and teenagers, we build a water-worthy boat from recycling materials such as a fish can, cardboard, and a straw, powered by a photovoltaic cell and a solar motor with a propeller. The high-performance solar cell generates electricity from light based on the photovoltaic principle and can even make the boat move on cloudy days. Here, children learn how to create SOMETHING useful out of NOTHING (disposable waste and free solar energy). When the sun is shining or in good light, the finished solar boats will take their rounds in the paddling pool or fountain, powered solely by the sun's energy. The children craft their own toy, recognize the free energy from sunlight, and take their boat home. The super solar boat has a solar cell that is about 3 times larger and therefore moves significantly faster.

One to two fish cans, about 15 cm long and 8 cm wide, oval and empty,
For the super solar course: fish cans measuring 21 cm x 8 cm (herring fillets)
please do not press the edge, as it will be needed during crafting
A container for transporting the boat (shoe box, box, etc.)
Sturdy scissors, large protractor, pencil, a snack for the break
Hot glue guns, cardboard, and other materials will be provided by the course leader.
