Workshop for children aged 7 and up with Gudrun Fuß and Thomas Schiefecker
Wild bees typically live solitary lives and do not form colonies, meaning that each female must take care of her offspring and their nourishment on her own. This is not always easy, especially since suitable nesting sites are not always available. Two-thirds of the native species build their nests in the ground, but a significant number rely on beetle burrows in decayed wood. For this group, we want to build suitable nesting aids that will be gladly accepted by the insects. The right materials, precise execution, and correct installation are crucial for this. Then nothing will stand in the way of observing wild bees in your own garden or on your balcony.
For children aged 7 and up (with supervision), max. 12 children.
Duration: from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
