TOURDATA

Tauernplatz 1, 5630 Bad Hofgastein

First, take the Schlossalmbahn cable car, and then the hike towards Brandner Hochalm begins. In this secluded valley, not only the rustic mountain wilderness is impressive, but also the avalanche control systems of the longest ski run in the Eastern Alps – it must be wonderful in winter as well. During a short break at Brandner Hochalm, you can already catch a glimpse of the two other managed alpine pastures – it’s not far now. An old supply path leads along the Leidalmbach stream towards Fundner Heimalm. The sound of the wild stream is harmonizing and refreshing – a true mountain brook. The descent towards the valley takes place via Vogeltenn to Bad Hofgastein. Alternatively, you can choose the easier route to the middle station of the Schlossalmbahn.

Participation in the guided hikes is free with the Gastein Card! Cable car rides with the Schlossalmbahn and refreshments are to be paid separately. Good equipment and mountain/hiking shoes are absolutely necessary! Registration: Kur- & Tourismusverband Bad Hofgastein T. +43 6432 3393 260 until Monday 4:00 PM. Minimum number of participants: 2 people.
