Experience the Middle Ages – a Time Travel Adventure for the Whole Family

Immerse yourself in a bygone era and experience the Middle Ages up close! On April 11 & 12, 2026, Gloggnitz Castle will once again serve as the stage for the grand festival "Experience the Middle Ages" – a lovingly designed, authentic medieval festival for young and old alike.

The idea behind this festival is to focus on traditional crafts, the connection to the region, nature, and history, and to make the special treasures of our region visible.

Based on feedback from true medieval enthusiasts, this first medieval festival of the year has established itself as a delightful highlight. Visitors can fully immerse themselves in the life of past centuries with all their senses.

Show and camp groups such as Armati Domini, the Crusaders "Ferrum ex Danubia," and Ascomanni bring the medieval life of various epochs to life. Craftsmen demonstrate ancient techniques and explain how tools and everyday objects were once made.

In addition to a variety of medieval stalls where you can taste, marvel, and learn, you can expect a diverse supporting program with live music, stilt walkers, and games for children. The detailed program will be announced soon.

Opening hours: Saturday from 11 AM to 7:30 PM, Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM

Admission is only €8, €7 for those in costume, €5 for children, and free entry for little ones up to 5 years old.

For your arrival, parking at the swimming pool is recommended (6-minute walk). It is also just a 12-minute walk from the train station (parking available).
