Fire for the Summer Solstice

Summer begins, and our clubs light the fires for the summer solstice around 10:00 PM on the Taghaube - Grandlspitz - at the Matrashaus - Lauskopf - Klingspitz! Enjoy this unique spectacle around the Hochkönig! This ancient tradition dates back to the 12th century and is closely associated with St. John's Day. Almost all over Europe, fires are lit on this day. In Salzburg and Tyrol, especially on the mountains, creating impressive chains of lights.
