Hallstättersee Swimming Marathon

**Interesting Facts**

On July 30, 2011, the 1st internationally advertised Hallstättersee Swimming Marathon took place.

The Hallstättersee, with a depth of 125 meters and a water surface area of 8.55 km², is one of the Salzkammergut mountain lakes and therefore reaches maximum water temperatures of 21°C in the summer.

Nestled between the Dachstein and Sarstein mountains, it is a scenic beauty and offers many opportunities for athletes.

**The Three Events**
- Long Distance: 10 km
- Middle Distance: 5 km
- Short Distance: 2.1 km
- Lake Crossing: 7 km
