Welser Reading Festival

The Wels Reading Festival is characterized not only by a diverse program that includes readings, an exciting poetry slam, musical performances, and a special children's program, but also by its clear regional focus. All participants, from the authors to the caterer, come from Wels, the immediate surroundings – but definitely from Upper Austria. This regionality is our strength – it allows us to make local culture tangible while providing especially the youngest a free, age-appropriate access.

Readings by Thomas Baum, Dagmar Hager, and Verena Dolovai
Wordsmiths Poetry Slam
Music by "Funny Hours in the Vegetable Garden" and "SecondHand Party"
Children's and youth program featuring a sound story by Elisabeth Wagner, readings by Bettina Wagner-Zadrazil and Jayden Zadrazil, a tour of the castle *) with night watchman Erich Steinerberger.
Book table and selected wines *) at Norbert Perkles – wine philosopher from Cordatushaus
Handcrafted unique pieces from the Edelwerkstatt of Doris Schulz
The association LIRAU will take care of the guests' culinary needs in its café/bar *)
