Wars belong in a museum! Even the way to the Museum of Military History is impressive: through the beautiful Schweizergarten you walk towards the Vienna Arsenal - a former military building complex. The mighty brick building is home to the oldest museum building in Vienna where you can immerse yourself in history. The HGM shows almost exclusively originals with incomparable historical value. With them, the HGM impressively tells a story of the Habsburg monarchy, the 30-year war until 1918 and Austria's fate up to the end of the Second World War.
