PROCEEDS GO TO SEELENPFLASTER
In the spirit of Northern German tradition, around 100 adults (minimum age is 20 years) will take to the start line of the coldest event of the year in Optimist dinghies. The Optimist class is designed for sailors weighing up to 40 kg, and can barely keep some seasoned sea dogs afloat. For those weighing over 100 kg, it is an annual balancing act between icy water and a dry finish.

ICE ASS PARTY: CULINARY DELIGHTS, HEATED TENT
Hot vibes are already ensured during the relentless positional battles. While the tough ones freeze their "butts" off, the "softies" can warm up from the inside at the catering: A heated festival tent with plenty of solid and liquid culinary offerings will be available. The heated festival tent will be operational from Friday. The race will start on Saturday at 12:12 PM. In the late afternoon, after all participants hopefully return dry and warmed up, the ICE ASS party will really kick off. Celebrations will traditionally continue until the first rays of sunshine make the lake sparkle. Defy ice and snow and support the charitable goal of the event with your presence, so that children in difficult life circumstances feel warmth in their hearts.

Regatta Office/Registration:
Friday, December 5, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on
Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM

The ICE ASS – a highlight for Optimists in Optimists! The proceeds from the charity event ICE ASS 2024 will benefit the organization "Seelenpflaster," an association promoting the mental health of children and adolescents in Nußdorf am Attersee.
