It is well known that there is a world of difference between self-love and narcissism, and that self-love has many different faces. Angela Ascher discusses the roles that time, money, friendships, humor, empathy, emancipation, love, honesty, and more play in this context with brutal honesty in her first stage program "Damn, I Love Myself."
In her debut, the true Bavarian showcases her comedic talent and love for the stage through expressive and passionate stand-up sequences, impressing with charming comedy in all its facets: clichés are played with, broken, exaggerated, keenly observed, and dissected with a lot of humor. Confident and with plenty of irony, Angela categorizes topics in her own unique way and does not shy away from delivering sharp commentary from time to time. Because Angela Ascher does not hold back, even on rather spicy subjects like sex toys in the wrong hands, mental preservation techniques for very long relationships, romanticizing one’s sex life in front of friends, and the question of whether one should rather sleep with oneself to never fall below one’s standards.
"Damn, I Love Myself" is a top-notch comedy program with explosive punchlines and loving sarcasm.
