Thommy Ten & Amélie van Tass - Magic in Vienna

After their grand success in the summer of 2025, Thommy Ten & Amélie van Tass will return to the Vienna State Opera on August 30, 2026, for two exclusive shows, presenting their acclaimed program "Magic in Vienna." For this, they have searched in Vienna, which was considered the world capital of magic at the turn of the century, for famous magicians and illusionists, bringing their legendary tricks back to the stage. "Vienna was, especially at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, a true hotspot for magic, often in private settings where séances were held – this fascinated people," says Thommy, noting that this fascination remains unbroken today. Thommy and Amélie aim to bring this history and the stories behind it closer to the audience at the Vienna State Opera, thus bridging the past with the present: "It is exciting to engage with history – the artists of that time as well as the era they lived in – while also continuing these traditions in a certain way today," says Amélie, who emphasizes one thing above all: "Regardless of whether it was then or now, one thing has essentially always remained the same and is timeless in this positive sense: the magic itself. The wonder!"
