Stefanie Sourial - Pharaoh in Drag

In the program "PHARAO IN DRAG!", Steffo Sourial explores the clash of traditions, generations, classes, origins, and identities—essentially, the collision of pride parades and fraternity houses. This collision triggers a crash that halts space and time. In the truest sense, Sourial personally brings time to a standstill. Through the rift in time, Sourial presents themselves to the audience as a descendant of the Egyptian pharaohs and takes the viewers on a journey through the world of their unique family: from the first pharaohs, their scandals, death masks, underwear, socks, or aliases, to their ringtone choices, from Hollywood to Krems on the Danube. And Krems on the Danube is unforgiving! This historically-political, mythological, and absurd journey allows the audience to rediscover the past and present.
