Zucchero, one of the most significant representatives of rock-blues in Italy, has sold over 60 million albums, with "Oro, incenso & birra" alone selling 8 million copies. He was the first Western artist to perform at the Kremlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall and participated in renowned events such as the Woodstock Festival (1994), the Freddie Mercury Tribute (1992), and the 46664 concerts for Nelson Mandela. Together with Luciano Pavarotti, he initiated the charity concert series "Pavarotti & Friends."
Zucchero has performed in 69 countries worldwide, including extraordinary locations like Tahiti and New Zealand. His highlights include performances with Eric Clapton, Brian May, and Dolores O’Riordan at the Royal Albert Hall (2004), a Grammy nomination (2007), and the largest concert by a foreign artist in Cuba (2012). In 2020, he contributed to music projects addressing Covid-19 and celebrating Earth Day.
He has recorded numerous duets, including with Bono, Sting, and Andrea Bocelli, and released his first acoustic album in 2021. In 2022, he returned with the "World Wild Tour" and once again opened a concert for the Rolling Stones. In 2023, he celebrated his 40th anniversary on stage with a documentary and concerts in his hometown of Reggio Emilia. In 2024, he launched a jubilee tour for "Overdose (D’Amore)."
Through collaborations with legends like Miles Davis, Ray Charles, Queen, and many others, Zucchero has become an international music icon.
