Have you ever wondered how the daily press operates behind the scenes? Is satire still needed in a country like Austria? And has the daily press lawyer already experienced burnout?

You will hear all this and more from the mouth of editor-in-chief Fritz Jergitsch. He not only provides insights into the editorial office but also shares anecdotes from over 10 years of daily press. Discover how millions of Chinese fell for a daily press article and why the freedom of satire ends precisely at craft shops. Additionally, Jergitsch reads a selection of the best articles.

The satire medium "Die Tagespresse" has been awarded the Austrian Cabaret Prize (special prize) twice and reaches several hundred thousand readers monthly. Now it’s time to say: "Laptop closed and curtain up!"

Fritz Jergitsch (*1991 in Vienna) founded the satire magazine "Die Tagespresse" in 2013. The project was awarded the Austrian Cabaret Prize (special prize) in 2015 and 2023, as well as the Walther Rode Prize in 2024. Jergitsch studied economics in Utrecht.
