Georg Pinteritsch

His works are characterized by an unmistakable visual language: art-historical symbolism, Christian iconography, and elements of our visual everyday culture intertwine to create surreal narratives. Fundamental themes of human existence are at the center, opening intimate visual spaces where the past, present, and future find complex connections with one another. His paintings, drawings, and objects testify to a concentrated attention to societal issues, such as the relationship between humans and nature, or the influence of technological developments on our forms of perception. In addition to works from recent years, Georg Pinteritsch, who studied painting and graphics at the Art University of Linz, presents newly created pieces for the exhibition that provide insights into his current artistic creation.
