In the Footsteps of Marlen Haushofer

We hike along her former school route from the Frauenstein church to Marlen's birthplace in Effertsbach, where Erni now lives with her family. Through passages from her books, we explore how Marlen drew strength from her childhood in the freedom of nature for her life. We gain insight into her family history and her journey as an adult woman. For those who have developed a taste for Haushofer's literature, here are three book recommendations from Erni: "Being Good is Hard" (children's book); "Heaven that Ends Nowhere"; "The Wall";
This tour is also suitable for school classes. The educational approach to the writer, her world, and her works is carried out in a playful manner appropriate to the age and group.

Equipment: Weatherproof clothing, hiking shoes, small snack and drink (no dining options available)
Requirements: Guided tours on fixed dates are reserved for private individuals. Groups of 10 or more, companies, schools, or other organizations are asked to contact the respective visitor center.
