Next Friday, another masterpiece by Edwyn Collins will be released: his album "Nation Shall Speak Unto Nation." The album, which consists of 11 tracks, will be released on his own label AED Records. It was produced by Edwyn in his Clashnarrow Studio in Helmsdale in the northeast of Scotland, together with Sean Read and Jake Hutton, and features James Walbourne (guitar), William Collins (bass), Carwyn Ellis (guitar), as well as Lena Wright and Bianca White as backing vocalists. "Knowledge," the first track of the album, is accompanied by a video that was filmed in Edwyn's hometown of Helmsdale between Christmas and New Year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wS6P7B0t9G4 Regarding the track, Edwyn said: "Knowledge is something I think about. I used to be quite clever and in some ways still am. But knowledge is wisdom, combined with all the things you have learned. I think, I hope, I have learned a lot." At the end of January 2026, Edwyn Collins will present the album live in Vienna, Linz, and Dornbirn as part of his farewell tour "A Last Lap Around Europe." Of course, all his hits like "A Girl Like You" will also be included.
