Wien Ticket
Wallensteinplatz 6, 1200 Wien
“Pinch me, I think I’m dreaming,” my father thought when he saw my mother for the first time. A few years later, it was “Live Is Life,” and I saw the light of day in 1984. Back then, “Fürstenfeld” was number 1 – even in Innsbruck. Which song did you cuddle to during ski school? For me, it was “Ruaf mi ned au” – unfortunately, I no longer have his phone number. And did you know that the original song of Austropop, “Wie a Glock’n,” was never in the top 10? Join me on my very personal and humorous journey through the history of Austrian pop music from 1970 to the present day. Free after the motto: “Delivered,” at least for this one night.
Katharina Straßer (Vocals)
She is a true folk actress, excelling in every discipline: musical, cabaret, theater, chanson, film, and television. The Nestroy Award winner has touched the hearts of the audience with her spectacular Cissy Kraner homage, EVERYTHING FOR A HUGO, and ensured that the Rabenhof performances were sold out in series. 50+ years of Austropop is certainly a reason for Straßer to embark on a very personal “tour de force.” Experience highlights of this genre in a quirky tribute show, with a title that is more than programmatic in these times.
Band:
Geri Schuller (Piano)
Driving force behind the international soul/blues/gospel singing trio The Rounder Girls, previously the musical backbone of the rock theater troupe Hallucination Company for 10 years, touring with Bluatschink, Bill Ramsey, Harri Stojka, and many others.
Hanna Pichler (Guitar and Violin)
Violin lessons with Miroslav Chytka. Member of TB-The Band.
Erich Buchebner alias “Ricky Gold” (Bass)
Performances with STS, Opus, Wolfgang Ambros, Austria 3, and many more. A true Austropop veteran.
Bernhard Egger (Drums)
Founder of the talk series Auf dem Roten Stuhl, drums for Austrian Blues Unit and Norbert Schneider, among others.
