With "A Girl Like You," Edwyn Collins scored a worldwide hit in 1995. Ten years later, the shock: the Scottish musician suffered two strokes within a few days! With incredible determination, he fought his way back to life. Edwyn Collins never thought of giving up; he has been regularly releasing albums since then.

His latest, 10th masterpiece titled "Nation Shall Speak Unto Nation" has just been released. The album, consisting of 11 tracks, is released on his own label AED Records. It was produced by Edwyn along with Sean Read and Jake Hutton at the Clashnarrow Studio in Helmsdale in the northeast of Scotland, and features James Walbourne (g), William Collins (b), Carwyn Ellis (g), as well as Lena Wright and Bianca White as background singers.

"Knowledge," the first track of the album, is accompanied by a video that was filmed in Edwyn's hometown of Helmsdale between Christmas and New Year. About the song, Edwyn said: “Knowledge is something I think about. I used to be quite clever and in some ways still am. But knowledge is wisdom, combined with all the things you’ve learned. I think, I hope, I’ve learned a lot.”

At the end of January 2026, Edwyn Collins will present the album live in Vienna, Linz, and Dornbirn on his farewell tour "A Last Lap Around Europe." Of course, all his hits like "A Girl Like You" will also be featured.
