DÖBLING BURNING - A Musical Play from the Edge

Finally – after years of deprivation on Boulevard Erdberg – a new musical play from the "Godfather" of the new Viennese song!

The poet and songwriter Ernst Molden, who escaped from Döbling to Erdberg decades ago, has dedicated a fantastic dance of death to his birthplace.

Döbling, Vienna's 19th district, the last bastion of the old Austrian bourgeoisie. There is a hangover mood after the (Neustifter) fair: Otto Meyer-Sudelfeld, a failed performance artist and the last scion of a rubber manufacturer dynasty, could inherit his grandmother's villa and her fortune if only he would finally behave like a decent Döblinger and bury his ridiculous ideas. But the church, in the form of Monsignore Schoiswohl, is also eyeing the villa and the money. The demonic winemaker Leopold Probus Musil plays a role, as does a real Döblinger ghost: Saint Agnes.

After the Amadeus-awarded and multiple Nestroy-nominated productions HÄUSERL AM OASCH, HAFEN WIEN, and MAYERLING, Rabenhof's buddy Ernst Molden – a "Partner in Crime" in community housing theater for decades when it comes to the successful revival of the old Viennese musical – finally presents a new production.
